PTFE Teflon® Sealing Bands

The band sealer is where the plastic film travels between two endless PTFE (Teflon®) bands which are pressed together by heat bars. The heat is passed through the bands and seals the film. The bands are then pressed together by a chilled bar to withdraw the heat to complete the seal closure.

Two-ply rotary band sealing belts for continuous rotary packaging / heat sealing machinery are available in a wide variety of standard styles and sizes to suit your packaging machine. The seamless overlap belt provides uniform thickness and heat transfer, eliminating bumps and seams as well as adding strength to the overall belt by spreading seam stresses over a larger area than in a standard overlap belt.

The sealing of either a pouched-shape or tray-shaped package is a critical component of the modern FORM- FILL- SEALING machine. Product's packed in vertical Form-Fill-Sealer machines include such items as frozen foods, pet foods, chewing gum, powders, liquids and grains such as rice, which are all packed in a standing position so as to prevent any spillage.
