PTFE Teflon® Wrapper Belts
Wrapper belts tend to be two belts that run in tandem side by side (Left + Right). In the middle of the belt is a hot plate which heats the belt's which in turn melts the side of the plastic wrapping as it is carried between the two belts. The (Teflon®) coating resists burnt film build up, which is then cooled by built-in coolers which allows the package to be completely sealed, the PTFE fabric easily accepts the rapid temperature changes. The belts track correctly with steel studs, eyelets, buttons or silicone cord fixed in the side's of the two belts.
Machine grooved rollers work perfectly with the tracking mechanism so that the belts do not slide off the rollers. The belts are often found where items such as packs of toilet tissue rolls, soap and biscuit packets which require sealing on both ends.
Hayssen ,Casolli, Doboy and Casmatic Wrapper machines commonly use these belts. The tear resistant 5 or 6 mil PTFE coated fiberglass fabric with a 45° overlap seam is the most common style of belt.
